About The Class

Entry Level Referee Clinics are offered through-out the year. Both English and Spanish instruction is offered, although rarely at the same clinic. A list of upcoming Entry Level Clinics (Spanish and English) can be found on Cal South's web site: www.calsouth.com. Typically, Entry Level Clinics are jointly sponsered by Soccer Leagues/Clubs, who obtain the facilities, and the Referee Associations and Cal South, who provide the instructors and materials. The registration fee for an Entry Level Clinic is listed on the Cal South. The registration fee may sometimes include a small facilities fee.

1. You must sign up for a class to reserve a space. To do so, visit Cal South.
   
2. Attendance is required for each and every day that the course is scheduled .
3. There is no minimum age requirement.
4. Attendees need to be mature enough to understand the material presented and to demonstrate this understanding on the written test.
5. The entry level courses are mostly classroom lecture.
6. The course requires 18 hours of instruction, so classes usually run for multiple days.
7. There is a written test (100 detailed questions, true/false and multiple choice)
8. A Score of 75% is required to pass.
9. Students will complete a USSF Referee registration form.
10. Important Note: To be assigned games you must Join the Association once you have completed the course! (See "Upon Completion" section).
